Justino's Madeira Malvasia Colheita 1997 was nominated by enologist and wine critic Aníbal Coutinho for the award for Melhor Vinho Fortificado de Calendário(Best Fortified Wine for Special Occasions). The W Awards 2017 have a total of 31 categories. The 10 nominees for this category will know the results during January of the following year. The 10 nominees include six Port wines, three Madeira wines and one Moscatel de Setúbal. Aníbal Coutinho, over the last few decades, has been promoting the best products of the various sectors of the Portuguese wine industry. To do so, he uses the Líquidos W newsletter, that is a part of his personal website, to recommend some of the best projects of the Portuguese wine industry to his readers.
