JUSTINO’S MADEIRA 3 YEARS OLD
The youngest Madeira wines produced by Justino’s and sold without any indication of age, are made from a number of local red grape varieties, predominantly Tinta Negra.
They are a blend of different wines, all of which have been aged in oak casks for at least 2 years prior to being bottled.
They are generically classified according to the level of sweetness in the wine and sold as four different styles: Dry, Medium Dry, Medium Sweet, and Sweet.
FINE DRY / SECO
A pale amber–tawny colour, typical of this style of wine. Characteristic aromas of dried fruit. Light, soft and balanced. Long finish with some freshness.
This wine is produced in two distinct styles, depending on the target market. One is a dry wine and the other is closer to a medium dry wine.
FINE MEDIUM DRY / MEIO SECO
Translucent, with a shiny golden colour. A pleasant and intense aroma, with a sensation of freshness. Light with a long dry finish, with notes of cocoa, grape, apple and walnut. Branded in the United States as RAINWATER.
MEIO DOCE / FINE MEDIUM RICH
Translucent, with some darker tones of chestnut. A characteristic aroma for a young Madeira. Pleasant, medium depth in the mouth, with a medium / long finish on the palate.
DOCE / FINE RICH
A translucent wine, with a strong amber colour. A fruity nose with some toasty notes. Soft and balanced on the palate, with a good length of flavour. Sweetness well balanced by the acidity of the wine.
